With a background in painting and photography, Elvar works across both documentary and narrative forms. His career includes award-winning documentaries, short films, and television series, filmed both in Iceland and
internationally. His collaborators include the BBC, National Geographic, and the Icelandic National Television (RÚV).

Much of his work is people-driven, shaped by experience working with subjects of all ages and backgrounds.
